Wendell Morton Nickell

Wendell Morton Nickell, age 74, passed away Monday, June 3, 2025, at his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired saddle builder.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Nickell, Marion, KY; two stepsons, Jeff (Holly) Bowers, AZ and Joe (Erin) Bowers, Louisville, KY; five grandchildren, Chloe, Riley, Kieran, Emma, Alex; one brother, Odell Nickell, TX; one sister, Ann Thomas, West Liberty, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Genevie Nickell; one son, Geoffrey Nickell; three sisters, Velma Snyder, Rita Collins, Phyllis Holsten and one brother, Ralph Douglas Nickell.

There will be no visitation or services at this time. Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
