Vera Elizabeth (Belt) Frazer, 84, went home to God on June 20, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Formerly of Lexington and originally from Crittenden, County Ky.
She retired from the State of Ky, Cabinet for Health and Family Services, where she held several positions over her 40 plus years of service, including Assistant Director of Medicaid Services. She also owned Chestnut Street Gallery. She was a member of Southland Christian Church and the Red Hat Society. She was well known for her kind, generous, and loving personality and will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her 2 brothers, Paul and Doyle(Lois) Belt, her 2 children, Bill (Sherry) Frazer, Kimberly Frazer Napier, her 4 Grandchildren, Jordan (George Leaua) Napier, Bryn-Ellen (Josh) Jessup, Taylor (Salah Mechmache) Napier, Reily Frazer, her 5 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Hazel Belt, her sisters, Norma Belt, Sue Franklin, her brothers Dennis, Ray Eugene and Jerry Belt.
Donations for Vera can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A celebration of life service will be held 3 PM July 12, 2025 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleveiw Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1-3 PM at the funeral home.
