She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Helen (Vowel) Lindsay; brother, Harold Lindsay and granddaughter, Ashley Oxford.
Reba was born in the mountains of Tennessee on June 5, 1948 to Dan and Helen Lindsay. She had always wanted to play the piano and gave up a trip to the zoo for one. Her love for playing led her to play for her church. She played the piano with passion and could make those keys talk.
She married Lyndol Hicks on May 2, 1964. They started a family shortly after and took that family to church. Family was most important to Reba. She was the most caring mom a child could ask for and with 4 kids she was a busy mom. She was also a bonus mom to many others, from nieces and nephews to the neighbor kids. When her parents were unable to care for themselves, she jumped right in and cared for them so selflessly. When she got the gift of having grandkids, she became Mamaw. She loved her grandbabies and great grandbabies with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by so many.
