Noble Cook Travis, age 91, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Livingston County Hospital in Salem.
Noble was born on April 29, 1934, in Caldwell County to the late Charlie and Cecil Mae Murray Travis. Noble was a skilled electronics technician and worked at Arvins in Princeton for more than 30 years, only missing 3 days of work during his tenure. He enjoyed his farming and gardening, most of all Noble enjoyed beekeeping. Noble loved to sing and read his bible. He was a member of The Gideon’s International and attended Freedom General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Tonya Utley; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Noble is preceded in death by his wife, Opal Rushing Travis; son David Scott; daughter, Tina Crane; brother, Everett Travis; sisters, Shirley Quertermous, Wanda Travis, and Jo Ann Stewart.
Visitation for Noble Travis will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Love Cemetery in Crittenden County.
