Linda G. Lewis

Linda G. (Williams) Lewis, 84, of Cave-In-Rock, IL went to be with her Lord and SaviorSeptember 3, 2026 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and close friends.

Linda was born on January 18, 1942 in Elizabethtown, IL. She was the second of six children born to Gordon and Hazel Ledbetter Williams. Other siblings include Gordenia, Patsy, Michael Dean, Steven and Ricky.

As many young relationships begin, she met the love of her life, Donnie Lewis, in Cave-In-Rock High School. Linda was smitten right away and oh what a love the two of them had. It lasted 67 years. They were united in marriage on June 3, 1959 and to this union three beautiful daughters were born; Kathy Green who has passed away, Sheri (Jerry) Grimmenga and Michelle (Dave) Fallmaier. Linda had 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She always loved talking about any and all of her grandbabies.

Services are scheduled for 1 PM Sunday September 6, 2026 at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Saturday September 5, 2026 and from 11 AM until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

A luncheon will be held immediately after the committal service at Potters Church in Cave-In-Rock, IL.
