Kernie L. Crider, 83, died May 14, 2008, at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation.
He was a Korean War Army veteran and member of Insulators Local 37.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Pierce of Marion son Jock Crider of Marion; brother, James “Bud” Crider of Marion; grandchildren, Alec and Francesca Pierce, both of Marion; former son-in-law, Frank Pierce of Marion; sister-in-law, Avis N. Blackburn of Valparaiso, Ind.; and brother-in-law, Bryan Norman of Nixa, Mo.
He was preceded in death by parents, Guy and Gracie Watson Crider, his wife, Virginia Crider; and two infant sons.
Funeral services 11 a.m. today, May 16, 2008, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, interment in Mapleview Cemetery. Sister Lucy Tedrick and the Rev. Mike Jones will officiate. Visitation is 9 a.m. to funeral time at the funeral home.
