Kathy L. Williams

Kathy L. Williams, 76, of Marion, KY, passed away on June 19, 2026, at her home in Marion, KY. She was a member of Freedom General Baptist Church and was a retired coal miner.

Kathy loved her grandchildren with all her heart and cherished every moment spent with her family. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, raising cows alongside her husband, and caring for their beloved beagles. After retiring from the coal mining industry at Dotiki Mine, she worked in the cafeterias at Crittenden County Middle School and Crittenden County High School for 10 years, where she enjoyed serving and getting to know generations of local students.

Survivors include her husband, Doug Williams of Marion, KY; daughter, Sarah (Todd) Riley; son, Jeremy (Teresa) Wilkerson; stepchildren, Jeff (Cassie) Williams, Melody Howard, and Robbie Williams; sisters, Linda Boster, Glenda Moore, Paula Tipton, and Janey Webb; grandchildren, Jeremy (Crystal) Williams, Brittany (Sean) Dowdy, Jordan Williams, Logan (Kyra) Wilkerson, Paxton (Carston) Riley, Payton Riley, Jeffery (Samiah) Williams, Justin Williams, Jarrod Kennedy, and Josh Thorpe; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Glenn and Pauline Writtenberry; son, Glenn Wilkerson; granddaughter, Shana Thorpe; and sister, Carolyn Blanford.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY, with interment in Freedom Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
