Jerry Lee Bearden

Jerry Lee Bearden, age 91, of Marion, KY, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Crittenden Heath and Rehabilitation in Marion.

Jerry was born on April 5, 1934, in Hernando, FL to the late Jewel and Myrtle Strange Bearden. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after more than twenty years. He would then transition to working and would retire as a corrections officer with the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville, KY. Jerry loved ministering and sharing the gospel of Jesus with everyone he came in contact with. He enjoyed going to the Crittenden County Jail and ministering to the inmates there.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl "Vicki" Tabor Bearden of Marion; children, Carole (Stephen) Engler of Colorado Springs, CO, Jospeh (Micky) Bearden of Lake Bay, WA, Edward (Karen) Bearden of Marion, KY and Melody Tabor of Marion, KY; grandchildren, Lee Brooks, Shannon Olin, Theresa Bearden, Lauren Miley and Johnathan Miley; four great grandchildren; sister, Barbara (David) Tidwell and Paula (Ronald) Filer; brother, William Bearden.

Visitation for Jerry Bearden will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Bro. John Robertson officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Mapleview Cemetery in Marion.
