Marion, Kentucky
Doris Ann Newcom, age 80, of Marion, KY, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Sturgis, KY.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie Newcom, Utica, KY; one daughter, LaRae Wilson, Mayfield, KY; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Corley, Cassandra Newcom, Devin Corley, Clayton Newcom and Kaylob Newcom; three great grandchildren, Ray, Esme and Juliet; one brother, H.E. Doom and one sister, Marla Rushing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Doom and Ovella Gillespie Doom, her husband, Norman Newcom, one sister, Darlene West, one brother, L.A. Doom.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the funeral home with Bro. Dennis William officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery in Marion.
Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
