Charles Eugene Glore, 80, of Marion, KY peacefully entered his Heavenly home on May 28, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Barnett Chapel General Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon since 2012, and a Veteran of the United States Army. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart.
Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years, Joanie Glore of Marion, KY; daughter, Michelle (Greg) Hewitt of Marion, KY; grandchildren, Mitchell (Amber) Hewitt of Marion, KY, Zach (Danyel) Hewitt of Paducah, KY and McKenzie (Dakota) Lynch of Marion, KY; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Alex, Karlie, Gabe and Gabby Hewitt and Dalton, Anzleigh and Avery Lynch; brothers, Ronnie (Kaye) Glore, Bill (Judi) Smith, Bennett (Sharon) Smith and Ray Smith; sisters, Sue (Dennis) Barnes and Grace (Jimmie) Holman and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Eugene Glore; brothers, Eddie, D.L. and Harold Perry Glore; sister, Dora Mae Belt; father, Charles Eugene Glore; mother, Ocie Smith and stepfather, Aaron Smith.
Services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday May 31, 2020 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Union Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Military Rites will be held at the cemetery.
