Catherine Nesbitt

Catherine Nesbitt, age 77, of Jackson, TN and formerly of Marion, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Jackson, TN.

Catherine was born on July 22, 1948, in St. Louis, MO to the late, Silver and Opal Heidenrich Pigg.

Cathy was a school bus driver for Crittenden Co Board of Education and loved all her kids. She attended Madisonville Community College in the early 80's.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Marie (Tim) Lilly, of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Carroll Ray (Jan) Pigg, of Marion and Ronnie Pigg, of Missouri; grandchildren, LaTisha Kirkpartrick, of Jackson, TN, Lauren Lambert, of Newbern, TN, Jimmy (Erin) Jenkins, of Marion and Michael (Maddie) Lilly, of Ripley, TN; great-grandchildren, (MA2) Ashton Kirkpatrick, of Norfolk, VA, Colton Lambert, of Dyersburg, TN and Kasey Lambert, of Newbern, TN, Bessie Lilly of Ripley, TN, Ella and Emma Knowlton of Marion, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition, to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her life partner, Dennis Joe Nesbitt; sister, Gracie Nesbitt; brothers, Silver and Dennis Pigg; son, Charles Ray; daughter, Melissa Orendoff; grandchildren, Brianna, Matthew and Jonathan.

Funeral services for Catherine Nesbitt will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Gilbert Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Friends may call from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery.
