Bobby W. Padgett

Bobby Wayne Padgett, 85, died Thursday April 2, 2026 at his home in Mexico (Marion) Kentucky. He was born May 6, 1940 near Sullivan KY to the late Delbert Padgett and Opal Walker Padgett. Bobby graduated from Crittenden County High School in 1958 and married Linda Sue Highfil Padgett in February 1964.

Bobby retired in 2005 after 35 years of service at B.F. Goodrich / Westlake Monomers in Calvert City KY. He liked to farm, enjoyed watching car racing (especially NASCAR) and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Mexico Baptist Church in Marion KY, the Frances Masonic Lodge and later the Salem Masonic Lodge.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 62 years Linda Padgett, his children Michael Padgett and Shannon Federico, his grandchildren Anthony and Andrea Federico and his extended family. Services will be held 2pm Monday April 6 2026 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion KY with burial in Mexico Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
