Billy Jodean Dale

Billy Jodean Dale, beloved, son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, 86, of Murray, KY formerly of Marion, KY passed away October 23, 2024. He was a resident of Landmark of Kuttawa in Kuttawa, KY.

Billy was born on August 21, 1938 to Joe and Mary Dale in Rosiclare, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty, Brenda and Debbie and brother, Donnie. Surviving are his sisters, Bonita Hamilton and Joyce Austin and brother, Jerry Dale.

Billy was a proud member of the United States Army. He was stationed in Fort Hood, TX where he met his wife of 57 years, Mary Beatrice. She preceded him in death on October 14, 2021. Billy is also survived by his two children, Kristi (Jeff) Butler and Wesley (Suzan) Dale; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Billy was known for his many years working in the coal mines in Morganfield, KY. He and his wife resided in Marion, KY for 25 before retiring and moving to Murray, KY where they were both members of the Hardin Church of Christ in Hardin, KY.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1 PM Monday October 28, 2024 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. 

Military Rites will be held at the cemetery on Monday.
