Survivors include his daughter, Leigh Ann (Byron) Merritt; grandchildren, Mandy, Anthony and Brandan and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Long; parents, Thomas E. and Harriet Long; grandson, Justin; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Monday September 14, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Cave-In-Rock, IL with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM Monday until service time at the church.
