William Robert McMaster, 89, of Elizabethtown, Illinois passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Sue (Jackson) McMaster of Elizabethtown, IL; sister: Betty (McMaster) Cox of Paducah, KY; daughters: Cindy Hendley of Suwanee, GA and Mindy Angleton of Rosiclare, Il; son: William C. McMaster of Harrisburg, IL and his amazing grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William C. McMaster and Olive (Hardesty) McMaster Williamson; sisters, Virginia (McMaster) Ferrell and Dorothy Rae (McMaster) Sneed.
He was affectionately known as “Bill the Country Barber” and “Mayor of Hog Thief Creek”.
Bill was a proud Marine and served during the Korean War. He wore his Veterans hat proudly every day. His last few months were spent at the VA home in Anna, IL. where he received excellent care from the medical personnel. A celebration of life for Bill will be scheduled for a later date. Hardin County Funeral Service is overseeing arrangements.
