Sylvia S. Newcom (81) of Calvert City, KY. passed away at her home Thursday, October 10, 2019. Mrs. Newcom is survived by 5 children Connie (Jerry) Parker of Benton, KY. ; Cynthia (Mike) Adams of Sturgis, KY. ; David (Tracy) Newcom of Uniontown, KY. ; Edwin (Ashley) Newcom Jr. of Decatur, AL. ; Chastity Corbitt of Calvert City, KY. ; 1 brother Charles Burkeen of Sebastian, FL. ; 3 sisters Carolyn Griggs of OH.; Charlottia Wilson of French Lick, IN. ; Helen Tiller of Kuttawa, KY.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Newcom was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Newcom Sr. parents Clint and Dorothy Burkeen and 1 sister Frances Butler.
Funeral services for Mrs. Newcom will be held 2:00pm Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Gilbert Funeral Home friends may call from 11:00am Sunday until service time at 2:00pm at Gilbert Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Mapleview Cemetery.
