Sophia Cruson-Green

Sophia Cruson-Green, 99, of Paducah, Ky. passed away at 3:21 pm on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah. Sophia was born in Pope County, Illinois on May 23, 1918 to Moses and Eller (McGuire) Ellis. Sophia was a member at Dutton Chapel Baptist Church and lived most of her life in Pope County, Illinois and several years in Harrisburg, Illinois before moving to Paducah to live near her daughter and family.
She is survived by her daughter: Ethel Mae Yarbrough of Paducah, Ky.; Granddaughter: Jana Lea (Stephen) Aldrick; Great Granddaughter: Allyssa Aldrick; Great Grandson: Joshua Aldrick; Several Nieces and Nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Clayton Cruson; Son-In-Law: James T. Yarbrough; her Parents, 2 Brothers, and 5 Sisters.
Hardin County Funeral Service, Cox Chapel will oversee arrangements. Service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Cox funeral home in Rosiclare, Il. Family will receive visitors for 12:00 pm till time of service at funeral home. Burial will follow at Fluorine Cemetery. Rev. Roy Baker will officiate service.
