Rommel S. Ellington, Sr., 60, of Marion, KY. died Saturday in Marion, KY. He was a member of Mexico Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving are his son, Rommel Ellington, Jr. of Marion, KY; daughter, Stefanie Midkiff of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Sharon Darnall of Eddyville, KY., Cindy Cosbey of Louisiana and Beverly Gottfried of Louisville, KY and 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Ellington and Bonnie O'Bryan Jones.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday May 5, 2015 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Lyon County, KY. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home and from 9 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o Gilbert Funeral Home, 117 W. Bellville St., Marion, KY. 42064.
Military rites will be given at the cemetery.
