Natalie Jo Poindexter, 83 of the Sikeston Convalescent died Aug 1, 2016.
She was born January 23, 1933 in Crittenden County to William Camel and Cleo Railey Hendrix.
She and Theo Ellis Poindexter married Dec 24, 1953, in Marion Ky.
She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church of Marion Ky. She worked at Mongomery Bank for over 40 years. Jo deeply loved her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Kyle) Gillespie of Dexter MO; daughter Anita (Ken) Moore of Sikeston MO; son Roger (Pat ) Poindexter Nashville TN; four sisters, Willie (Percy) Summers of Mayfield KY; Martha (Robert) Estes of Bowling Green, KY; Doris McMican of Marion, KY; Barbara (Jerry) Nunn of Deslodge, MO; one sister in law Sherry Hendrix of Marion KY; and five grandchildren, Drew Moore, Holly (Kell) Mikel, Tyler Gillespie, Morgan Poindexter and Ryan Poindexter.
One great grandson Mathieu Wade Moore and was joyfully awaiting the birth of Hunter Theo Mikel.
She also is survived by several nieces and nephews that were extremely dear to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years; two brothers Edward Hendrix and infant Richard Hendrix.
Arrangements are scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday August 3, 2016 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY. with interment in Repton Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM Wednesday until service time.
