Mildred O. Mayfield

March 27, 1925 — August 15, 2020

Mildred O. Mayfield, 95, of Cave-In-Rock, IL passed away peacefully Saturday August 15, 2020 at Hardin County General Hospital.
She was born in Hardin County on March 27, 1925 to James and Lennie Winters Jennings. She was a faithful member of Hardin County Church of Christ. In October of 1940 she was united in marriage to John A. Mayfield and to this union four children were born; John Jr., Judith, Norma and Lois.
She leaves to mourn two children, Norma (Larry) Joiner and Lois (Johnnie) Frailey; grandchildren, Kim (Brad) Reed, Sheri (Alex) Humm, Julie (Hunter) Wallace and Bryan Bayne; great grandchildren, Natasha Jo Palmer, Michelle Hobbs, Rikki Jo Hobbs, Jaycee (Andrew) Cowsert, Jonathan Foster, Audree Reed, Sophie Reed, Olivia Reed, Dylan Humm, Brandon Humm and Aubrie Joiner; great great grandchildren, Brynt Palmer, Kloe Palmer, Brayden Palmer, Braxton Palmer, Jaxon Wallace and Luke Bayne; several nieces, nephews, church family and special friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband, John Mayfield; son, John, Jr.; daughter, Judith; grandson, Nicholas; parents, James and Lennie Jennings; brothers, James and Gilbert Jennings and sisters, Edna Edwards and Thelma Tadlock.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday August 19, 2020 at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM Wednesday until service time at the funeral home
Sweet Jesus hold her hand secure, as you take this one we love, We entrust to you our precious one, gently lead her to her sweet home above, Her days on this earth were many, selfishly we want her to stay; Jesus please be with us especially now, as we say goodbye to our precious one today.
