Mary E. Suits

Mary Elizabeth Suits, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 28, 2017. She was born on January 23, 1931 on Sparks Hill in Hardin Co. IL to the late Herbert and Neva Newton Cook. She attended Vineyard Community Church, Greenwood, IN and Potters Church in Cave-in-Rock, IL. She enjoyed cooking and we loved eating it! She loved the Lord and her family; often reminding the Lord that He promised salvation to the fourth generation. She loved hot coffee with cream in a china cup, and her first words every morning: “Where’s my coffee?” Although she won’t be late to her own funeral, we’re sure she asked Jesus to wait a few minutes Wednesday morning, so she could take a couple of sips. Anyone who walked into her home, had to be fed, and she never took the first no, and everyone at least got a glass of water. Mom would never leave the house without lipstick and her eyebrows penciled on and...earrings. Her dog Socka is as fat as he is tall, and although mom wouldn’t eat fast food, the dog got a McDouble more days than not. Mom loved eating red tomatoes fresh from the garden with salt and movie theatre popcorn (extra butter); LOVED TBN; loved big country breakfasts with bacon gravy. She drove too fast to make up time, and was often pulled over for speeding, but never got a speeding ticket...she was just too sweet. She had the God kind of love for everyone, and forgave before asked. Mom/Grandma/Aunt Mary/Sister Mary/Miss Mary, will be missed, while she is having the time of her life in Heaven! Survivors include, 4 children, Anuel Ray (Violet) Suits, Angela Lynn (Mark) Suits-Blessing, April Dawne Suits-Volgman and Annette Gwanalda Suits-Smith; 5 grandchildren, Michelle, Stacy, Jeannie, Breanne and Cody Joe; 5 great grandchildren Mya, Chase, Colton, Emery Alora and Samia-Rane appearing July 30th; 4 siblings, Evon Clark, Leilani Bates, Charles (Betty) Suits and Si (Bette) Suits. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anuel Suits. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday July 2, 2017 at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-In-Rock, IL. Additional visitation will be on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 4-8 at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-in-Rock, Illinois. Burial will be at Central Cemetery.
