Luther Nichols, 79, of Providence, KY died Saturday at Baptist Health Madisonville. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Providence and Laborers International Union of North America Local 1214.
Surviving is a daughter, Tammy Todd of Marion, KY; sons, James Hamby of Providence, KY and Eddie Nichols of Atlanta, GA; brother, Robert Nichols of Kuttawa, KY; sister, Evelyn Kirk of Dycusburg, KY; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Nichols; parents, Robert Edward and Lula Belle Nichols; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday December 27, 2014 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Friday.
