John H. Mitchell, Sr., 68, of Ellizabethtown, IL. died Thursday August 24, 2017 at his home in Elizabethtown, IL. He was a member of the Pentecostal Faith.
John was married to Cheryl R. Smith on April 28, 1968.
Survivors include his children, Dale (Rhonda) Mitchell of Cave-In-Rock, IL., Ann (Jeff) Mitchell of Cave-In-Rock, IL., Dennis (Kasi) Mitchell of Elizabethtown, IL., Johnny (Lisa) Mitchell of Cave-In-Rock, IL., and Brian (Diana) Mitchell of Eichorn, IL.; brothers, Elvis (Janie) Mitchell of Indiana and Jim Mitchell of Rosiclare, IL.; sister, Cheryl (Charlie) Wright of Indiana; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Mitchell and parents, Elvis and Millicent Mitchell.
Services are scheduled for 11 AM Monday August 28, 2017 at Hardin County Funeral Service, Cox Chapel, in Rosiclare, IL. with interment in Colbart Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
