John Jeffery Dalton, 51, of Paducah, KY, formerly of Crittenden County, and Porter County, Indiana, died August 26, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
John or Jeff depending on which name you knew him as was a 1990 graduate of Portage High School in northwest Indiana. Where he was a member of the High School Marching Band for four years. Jeff was known to be a gentle giant standing at 6’5” tall and weighing over 250 ponds in school. He was a enthusiast sports fan, but didn’t want to play because “I’m afraid I will hurt someone”. Jeff was known for his kindness and willingness to help anyone,
He is survived by his son, Shawn Dalton of Paducah, KY; brother, Bill Dalton of Greenfield, IN; nephew, Sawyer Dalton; niece, Piper Dalton; uncles, Steve Conger and Ricky Conger and aunts, Judy Conger and Linda Watson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Nancy Jane Dalton.
Graveside services will be held 1 PM September 10, 2022 at Whites Chapel Cemetery in Marion, Kentucky.
