Survivors include his children, Robert Allen, Ella Staggs, Jamie Staggs and Ben Staggs; sisters, Rosemary Frailey, Sheila Allen, Janice Ferguson and Virginia Neal; brother, Billy Allen; 3 grandchildren; 3 half grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Allen and Margaret Allen; brother, Kenneth Allen and sister, Teresa Griswold.
Private services were held at Peters Creek Cemetery.
