Herbert James "Bud" Boone

Herbert James "Bud" Boone, 84, of Marion, KY died Sunday May 14, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Mexico Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Boone of Marion, KY; children, Julie (John) Hartley of Springfield, MO, Jeanne Staub of Newburgh, IN and Clay (Kelley) Boone of Jasper, IN; grandchildren, Kelly, Tyler, Lacy, Ian, Mason and Robb; great grandchildren, Rylan, Aubree and Faith and sister, Karen Wheeler of Marion, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Mary Tinnie Boone; brother, Marion Boone and sister, Nina Woodall.

Services are scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Whites Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Tuesday and from 9 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
