Elizabeth Ann Conkle

Elizabeth Ann Conkle was born on September 23, 1950 to Fay and Garvin Conkle. She was the oldest of four children. She then Married Wendell E. Conkle on February 28, 197-. They spent their lives together raising their children in the Whoopi Cat area of Hardin County. Libby worked hard all her life but recently spent 15 years working for Shawnee Communication where she made some of her best friends before retiring. After retirement, she loved spending with the apples of her eye, her grandchildren, traveling to the beach, and enjoying the company of her best friend Cathy Devous.
Libby is survived by two children a Daughter: Dee Ann Mittendorf (Rocky) of Metropolis, IL.; Son: Wendell M. Conkle (Gabby) of Fort Stewart, GA.; 3 Grandchildren: Rock and Jeremy Mittendorf and Adrianne Conkle; 2 Brothers: Randall Conkle (Regina) of Elizabethtown, IL. and Don Conkle of Harrisburg, IL.; numerous Nieces, Nephews, and cousins that loved her dearly.
She was proceeded in death by her parents: Garvin and Fay Conkle; Husband: Wendell Conkle; Brothers: Garvin Jr. and Hallie Plane.

Hardin County Funeral Service, Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home. Service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mark Vickery. After the service Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Dixon Volkert Cemetery.
