Bill Leonberger

Billie Dean "Bill" Leonberger, 88, of Rosiclare, IL passed away January 26, 2022 at Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare, IL. He was a Veteran of The United States Marine Corps, teacher at Rosiclare High School, Rosiclare High School Principal, Dean Of Students At Hardin County High School and Education Administrator at the Vienna Correctional Center, Shawnee Correctional Center and Hardin County Work Camp until his retirement in 1995. Bill received his teaching degree from Bethel College and his Masters Degree from Murray State University. Survivors include his wife, Sue Leonberger of Rosiclare, IL; daughters, Lynn Cowsert of Elizabethtown, IL, Tina (Jimmy) Mabrey-Smock of Herod, IL and Leighann Quinlan of Rosiclare, IL; grandchildren, Jay, Tyler (Kendal), Aundrea (Jeremy), Travis (Jayna), Abby, Keely and Conor and great grandchildren, Gabriel, Eli, Jack, Addie and Bo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Melita Leonberger and son-in-laws, Steven Cowsert and Tony Mabrey. Private services will be held at a later date. Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL is in charge of arrangements.
