Alma Irene Ashford

Alma Irene Ashford, 88, of Rosiclare, Il passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017. She was born on March 2, 1929 in the Peters Creek community, to James Marion and Mary Marie (Swaggirt) Lowry. She was a member of the Rosiclare General Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Woodmen of the World.
Mrs. Ashford is survived by her 5 Daughters: Mary Ann (Jeff) Bishop, Rosalie (Steve) Tolbert, Sherry (Larry) Paskon, Joyce (Jimmy) Spivey, LaDonna (Russell) Hall; 2 Sons: Dewayne (Betty) Ashford, David Ashford; 19 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; Many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Parents: James Marion and Mary Marie(Swaggirt) Lowry; Husband: Charles Wayne Ashford; Son: Weldon Deneen Ashford; Sister: Edna Marie Lowry Price.
Hardin County Funeral Service, Cox Funeral Home, will oversee arrangements. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 at the funeral home. Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday November 29, 2017. Rev. Butch Gowins will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Peter’s Creek Cemetery.
