James Randolph Gawel, 71, of Elizabethtown, IL. passed away on August 8, 2015 at the Hardin County General Hospital. He was born in Wisconsin on June 15, 1944 to Francis Gawel and Margaret (Smith) Gowel. He was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by a Daughter: Danielle Gawel and Brad Odonell of Elizabethtown; Step Daughter: Denise and Brandon Hutson of Rosiclare; Step Son: Robert Gatlin of Elizebethtown; 13 Grandchildren; Sisters: Bertha Wells, Fran Pallikan, and Rose Hoffman.
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. As per his wishes, Mr. Gawel will be cremated, and a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
