Mr. Granville "Granny" Marvin Brownfield

Granville “Granny” Marvin Brownfield, 98, of Rosiclare, IL. passed away on Thursday February 2, 2017 at the Hardin County General Hospital. He was born on January 26, 1919 in Rosiclare, IL. to Charles Taylor Brownfield and Rosie Lee Cowsert Brownfield. Mr. Brownfield was an Army Veteran, former Hardin County Coroner, a member of Rosiclare Masonic Lodge # 1144, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosiclare.
He is survived by his Son: Wendell Paul “Skip” Brownfield of Elizabethtown, IL.; 9 Grand Children, and several Great Grand Children.
He was preceded in death by his Wife: Fern (Turner) Brownfield; Son: Carrol Dean Brownfield; Parents: Charles and Rosie Brownfield; Brother: Glenn Brownfield; and Sister: Lois Marie Henry.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. As per his wishes, Mr. Brownfield will be cremated and a memorial service will on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at The First Baptist Church of Rosiclare. Visitation will held from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. with service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Officiating service will be Rev. Roy Baker. Military Honors preformed by American Legion Post 571.
